OUR PHILOSOPHY

OUR ADVANCED CAPABILITIES

How Our Technology Supports Precise, Conservative Care

Every tool we use is an extension of Dr. Bitton's commitment to doing only what is necessary and doing it right. Here is how our key technologies help us deliver on that promise.

Cone Beam CT scanner used for 3D dental imaging
3D DIAGNOSTICS

Cone Beam CT: 3D Imaging for Accurate Diagnosis

A Cone Beam CT scan gives us a three-dimensional view of your teeth, jawbone, nerves, and sinuses in a single rotation. This is especially valuable for planning dental implant restorations, evaluating root canal anatomy, or assessing impacted teeth. The detailed images allow Dr. Bitton to see exactly what is happening below the surface before recommending treatment, reducing surprises and helping ensure the best outcome. For many patients, this means more conservative treatment because we can target the problem precisely rather than exploring.

COMFORTABLE SCANS

iTero Digital Impressions: No Trays, No Mess

Traditional impressions with goopy putty and bulky trays can be uncomfortable. With the iTero scanner, we capture a precise 3D digital impression of your teeth using a small wand that moves quickly and quietly. This is used for ClearCorrect aligners and for designing dental crowns. The scan is so accurate that crowns often need less adjustment after placement, and clear aligners fit from the first set.

EARLY DETECT

Velscope Oral Cancer Screening: Early Detection Matters

The Velscope handheld device uses a special light to highlight abnormal tissue in the mouth before it becomes visible to the naked eye. Dr. Bitton incorporates this screening into routine exams for all adult patients. Early detection of oral cancer dramatically improves treatment outcomes, and the scan is quick, painless, and noninvasive. Learn more on our Oral Cancer Screening page.

DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING

Intraoral Cameras, Digital X-Rays & Nomad Portable Imaging

We use intraoral cameras so you can see on a screen exactly what Dr. Bitton sees. This helps you understand your oral health and any treatment recommendations. Digital X-rays use significantly less radiation than traditional film, and the images are available instantly. For patients who need X-rays in a different location or have mobility challenges, our Nomad portable X-ray unit allows us to take images wherever you are most comfortable. For more details, visit our Dental X-Rays page.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Dental Technology

Center for Progressive Dentistry modern diagnostics

Is the Cone Beam CT safe for routine use?

Yes. Cone Beam CT uses a low dose of radiation that is much smaller than a conventional medical CT. Dr. Bitton only uses it when the diagnostic benefit clearly outweighs any minimal risk, such as for implant planning or complex root canal cases.

Do digital impressions work for aligners and crowns?

+

Absolutely. iTero digital impressions are highly accurate for ClearCorrect aligners and same-day or lab-fabricated crowns. The precise 3D scan eliminates distortion that can happen with traditional putty impressions and allows for a perfect fit.

How does Velscope screening work and who needs it?

+

Velscope uses a special light to detect abnormal tissue in the mouth that may not be visible to the naked eye. It is a painless, noninvasive screening recommended for all adults, especially those who use tobacco or have a history of oral cancer.
